A classic Zelda-style adventure can be tried for free on smartphones - Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King released on Android and iOS

The developers were sometimes too heavily inspired by A Link to the Past.

Publisher FDG Entertainment has released the mobile version of the adventure game Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King from Castle Pixel studio. The game is available on Android and iOS under a "try before you buy" model: it can be downloaded for free and the first chapter can be played, while unlocking the full version will cost $5.

Players will take on the role of Lily, a new recruit to the Knights of the Rose order, and save the Kingdom of Blossom after an evil wizard plunges the king into a magical sleep. Throughout the adventure, players can freely explore the world, complete five dungeons with puzzles and bosses, and find new weapons and spells.

The original Blossom Tales: The Sleeping King was released on PC in March 2017 and has since received 86% positive reviews on Steam based on over 722 user reviews. Players praise the large world, many interactive objects, and simple puzzles, but often criticize the developers for excessive similarity to The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, sometimes even calling the game a "copy-paste". Although many liked Blossom Tales precisely for this reason.
