Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah - Final Trailer for "Godzilla: Minus Zero" Hinted at a Battle of Giants

The legendary kaiju will rampage through cinemas in early November.

Toho and GKIDS have released the final trailer for "Godzilla: Minus Zero," which was previously shown to attendees of New York Comic-Con. The film takes place two years after the events of "Minus One." Japan is trying to recover from the previous catastrophe, but, as the official synopsis states, "a new threat destroys hope with a single blow."

In the trailer, entire houses are lifted into the air along with the people inside, then crash to the ground with a roar. Among the destruction, golden energy discharges can be seen, resembling the gravity beams of King Ghidorah, the three-headed dragon-like kaiju. The monster itself was not shown by the creators, but in combination with the "flying" houses, the hint seems quite transparent.

Takashi Yamazaki is once again responsible for the direction, screenplay, and visual effects. After its initial festival screenings, the film received 95% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes based on 41 reviews. For comparison, "Godzilla: Minus One" has a rating of 99%.

"Godzilla: Minus Zero" will be released in Japanese cinemas on November 3, 2026. On the same day, preview screenings will take place in IMAX in North America, with a wide release starting on November 6. The film's release date in Russia is currently unknown.
