Dota 2 added a loot box with a guaranteed Arcana for 21 thousand rubles - online exceeded one million players for the first time since 2022
Valve offers loot box enthusiasts a system with guaranteed drops.
In October, Valve introduced a new treasure chest, Trove of Terror (a loot box called “treasure of terror”), for the free-to-play MOBA game Dota 2. Players are guaranteed to receive an “incredibly rare” item if they open a certain number of loot boxes.
On the 50th attempt, a 100% chance of a rare reward is activated; the total cost of opening the required number of treasure chests is about 21 thousand rubles.
Valve clarified that one Arcana set is new, and the other is “returning”:
We didn't create this treasure... it created itself. We thought we were just inspired, but that's not the case. We only became puppets who, without our knowledge, let something into this world from the darkest corners of reality — the Trove of Terror. It overflows with Immortal sets, two Arcana sets (one new and one returning), a new Tormentor and a new Roshan... and it's available now.

Players can get Sepulchral Stalker for Drow Ranger and Maw of the Megalodon for Tidehunter, as well as cosmetic content for Nyx Assassin, Legion Commander, Anti-Mage, Broodmother; Tiny and other characters.
It so happened that against the backdrop of the new loot box release, Dota 2's online player count exceeded 1 million for the first time in several years.
