Risk of Rain 2 Halloween Expansion Soars to Top of Steam Sales and Receives Very Positive Reviews
Many players were interested in the Hallowed Concepts content.
In October, Gearbox Software and publisher 2K Games returned to the roguelike Risk of Rain 2 and introduced the Hallowed Concepts expansion.
The developers invite players to delve deeper into the grim, cult-like world of N'Kuhana:
Venture through eerie uncharted regions of Petrichor V, complete challenging trials, battle terrifying new enemies, and discover never-before-seen abilities.
The DLC introduced 7 enemies, 7 levels, as well as various items and secrets. In addition, new survivors appeared. The Acolyte, who “dances on the battlefield, toying with her enemies” and gaining more power through her own life energy, and the Defender — who holds the defensive line or pushes it forward with dynamic tactical movements.
You can embark on adventures alone or with friends. The creators of Risk of Rain 2 clarified that for new content to appear for the entire lobby, it is sufficient for only one player to have the Hallowed Concepts expansion. But there's a nuance: “players without the expansion will not be able to choose new survivors or permanently unlock new items, logs, and other content.”
