God of War III Remastered Ported to PC - Fan-Made Port Released

News

The game can run at an average of 100+ FPS.

Modern installments of the God of War franchise (2018) and God of War: Ragnarok have made their way to PC, but some players would also like to experience Kratos' previous adventures.

Recently, players have had the opportunity to experience the classics on PC not only through emulators. An unofficial PC port of God of War III Remastered has been released.

Modder FelipePrado0 explained that this port is based on the project of another enthusiast, deadinside28, who ported Bloodborne to PC running Windows OS.

This version of the game supports saves: the list will be displayed on the screen, just like on PlayStation 4, and the auto-save function also works. Rendering resolution options: 480p, 720p, 1440p, 1800p, or 4K; texture glitches have also been fixed, and cutscenes can be skipped. You can play with gamepads like DualSense or Xbox, as well as use a keyboard.

Tests on a PC with AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT, Ryzen 5 5600, and 32 GB of RAM showed that the fan-made port of God of War III Remastered can run at an average of 144 FPS (the game delivered between 55 and 240 frames) at 1080p resolution. In 4K resolution, the game ran at an average of 108 FPS with FSR 1.

FelipePrado0 has published the source code of the “gow3_pc” project on GitHub. To run it, you need the necessary files from God of War III Remastered; version CUSA01623 with update 01.02 is recommended.
