Bought consoles in vain: journalists found out the release date of Grand Theft Auto VI on PC

Not long to wait.

Rockstar Games plans to release the PC version of Grand Theft Auto VI in the first quarter of 2027. This is reported by GamesBeat, citing four industry representatives familiar with the studio's plans. All sources wished to remain anonymous to avoid harming business relationships.

Currently, the release of GTA VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19 has been officially confirmed. Rockstar Games has not yet announced the PC release date for the game, and company representatives have not responded to GamesBeat's request for comment.

One of the reasons for a potentially quick release could be Rockstar's desire to expand the game's audience. Given the scale of GTA 6's production and an estimated budget exceeding $2 billion, it is beneficial for the company to attract as many players as possible to the project as quickly as possible. However, the exact development cost has not been officially confirmed.
