This is the end: Cyberleek promised to stop GTA VI leaks, but threatened to reveal the game's ending

Cyberleek hackers, who have been publishing footage from Grand Theft Auto VI since August, announced that they have reached the “end of the road” and intend to stop the leaks.

On October 14, Cyberleek published a new short video featuring Lucia. According to information on their website, the shown footage relates to the final missions of GTA VI, however, it is presented without context and does not reveal details of what is happening in the story.

CL has an ending. The possibility of leaking it was considered. This would cause serious damage to Take-Two, but would spoil the experience for players who are not at fault.

According to them, the latest leaks, containing fragments of the final missions, are intended to demonstrate what materials they possess without revealing key plot events.

Cyberleek also reported the activation of a so-called “dead man's switch” mechanism in case of their disappearance. They claim that it is intended solely for publishing plot spoilers and will not be triggered unless they are touched.

The leaks are stopping. At least for now.

The hackers also rejected accusations of a massive token dump, emphasizing that they initially considered them a donation, not an investment, and did not promise buyers profits. They also criticized bloggers who allegedly spread unreliable information about what is happening.

The $30 million goal was not reached, so they will not release the GTA VI build. Cyberleek noted that anonymously uploading more than 200 GB of data would carry certain risks.
