Marvel Hasn't Forgotten About 'Werewolf by Night': Horror May Get a Sequel
The head of Marvel Television hopes to return to Jack Russell's story.
Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television and Animation, told Chris Killian of ComicBook in an interview that he would like to make a sequel to 'Werewolf by Night'. However, for this to happen, the project still needs Disney's approval:
“I love the format of the special presentations. I produced Marvel One-Shots before we even did 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'. […] One-Shots and special presentations allow you to do the same thing — explore some unusual corner of the universe. I love 'Werewolf by Night'. I really want to do a second season or a second part — if Disney allows. […] We'll see. You never know for sure. Any project must go through development and take a concrete form. But I definitely want to do more projects like this.”
The first 'Werewolf by Night' special was released on Disney+ in 2022. It is a horror film in the style of classic black-and-white cinema about monster hunters who gather together after the death of their leader.
The main role of Jack Russell was played by Gael García Bernal, and the director was composer Michael Giacchino, known for the soundtrack to 'The Batman' with Robert Pattinson, 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day', and dozens of video games, including the Medal of Honor and Call of Duty series.
