One of the worst strategies in Steam's history has been released - players slammed Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition

Recently, Creative Assembly and SEGA announced the release of Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition. This is a new version of the global strategy game, positioned as an “updated, improved, and most complete” edition of TWS 2. However, players are not quick to agree with this.

The game received “overwhelmingly negative” reviews — an 18% rating after more than 1,500 reviews. The game's rating dropped so sharply that it broke into the top 100 worst Steam projects by user rating, landing in 80th place between Despair and Richman 11.

Dissatisfied users note technical problems: bugs from the original remain; there are also graphics glitches and complaints about balance.

Total War: Shogun 2 Complete Edition includes all previously released add-ons, including the “Rise of the Samurai” and “Fall of the Samurai” campaigns. Graphics, lighting, shadows, and textures have also been improved; UI scaling for 1440p and 4K resolutions, modernized controls, 64-bit system support, and other enhancements have been added.
