In 2007, Lost Odyssey was released on Xbox 360 — a Japanese role-playing game from Mistwalker and Feelplus studios, created with the participation of Final Fantasy author Hironobu Sakaguchi. Now enthusiasts have ported it to Android: the unofficial Lost Odyssey Recomp port is based on a recompilation of the console version.
The game tells the story of the immortal mercenary Kaim, who has lived for a thousand years but lost his memory. During his journey, he gradually recalls his past, and players learn about his experiences from short literary stories. In addition, they will explore the world, assemble a squad, and participate in turn-based battles.
For playing on smartphones, the authors added customizable on-screen buttons and gamepad support. It is not necessary to start a new playthrough: saves from the PC version of Lost Odyssey Recomp or the Xenia emulator can be transferred to the port.
To run it, you will need a device with Android 8.0 or newer, Vulkan support, and files from your own copy of Lost Odyssey. You can start playing from the first disc, and if you add all four, the port will switch between them automatically.
