The original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been ported to Android - an experimental fan port has been released

Enthusiasts continue to port console games to smartphones.

The OpenPort Labs team has released an experimental Android port of the original Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, based on a re-compilation of the Xbox 360 version.

To play on smartphones, customizable on-screen buttons and gesture-based camera control have been added, as well as support for external controllers. In the settings, you can select the resolution, set a frame rate limit, and change the field of view.

The port is not without bugs yet, but the authors are already releasing fixes. In update 0.0.2, they eliminated black textures and flickering on Snapdragon devices, and also improved compatibility with mobile graphics drivers.
