Legendary Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Reaches Android with 60 FPS - Mobile Version Gameplay Shown
Enthusiasts continue to adapt iconic games for mobile devices.
Chinese developers have released an unofficial Android port of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare based on the 2007 PC version of the shooter. The build is already being distributed among players, but the authors' page with system requirements and a list of compatible devices has not yet been found. However, Reddit users are posting gameplay videos and sharing test results on various smartphones.
One player launched Modern Warfare on a Google Pixel 9a with a Tensor G4 and 8 GB of RAM. According to him, the game runs well on high graphics settings. The owner of a Samsung Galaxy S26 also reported smooth performance of several missions at 60 FPS.
Comments also mention working multiplayer, although there are still some technical issues. One participant in the discussion encountered a crash when using Vulkan and advises switching to OpenGL — with it, his frame rate was more stable.
