Analogue announced SuperNT+ and MegaSG+ - FPGA consoles for SNES and SEGA Mega Drive cartridges

On October 19, retro gamers will be able to pre-order two new FPGA systems from Analogue - SuperNT+ and MegaSG+, which will allow them to run original cartridges for Super Nintendo Entertainment System and SEGA Mega Drive.

Back in 2017, Analogue released the SuperNT — an FPGA console designed for the most authentic reproduction of SNES cartridges with modern enhancements.

In 2018, they did the same with the MegaSG — a console for fans of the classic SEGA Mega Drive/Genesis. For 8–9 years, these devices have proven themselves excellent, although they were out of stock for a very long time, and the only way to acquire them was to buy them on the secondary market at incredibly inflated prices.

But now, Analogue employees have announced that they are going to update these consoles. On October 19th at 6:00 PM Moscow time, they will open pre-orders for the SuperNT+ and MegaSG+. Each new product will cost $219.99 (18,508 rubles).

These consoles have built-in Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz wireless controller support. The devices are now powered via a modern USB-C connector. The package includes a USB-C power adapter and a USB-C cable. It is now possible to exit the game through the menu and change the cartridge without turning off the console's power.

The team added the function to turn the console on and off with the Start button on the first gamepad or by activating a paired wireless controller. The new products have received an updated appearance and new boxes. At the same time, the devices have hardly changed externally, retaining the original aesthetic.

The SuperNT+ will be available in three color options: classic, SF, and black. And the MegaSG+ will be released in three regional styles: USA, Europe, and Japan. Console shipments will start in December 2026.
