The creator of the meme game Shrek 2 said he wasn't invited to make the remaster - he would like to see updated True Crime: Streets of LA and "Kung Fu Panda"
The classic will soon return in an updated format.
Recently, footage of Shrek 2 Remastered leaked online. The project began to be actively discussed on the network, and this caught the attention of the creator of the original Shrek 2: The Game.
Joby Otero commented on the leak of information about Shrek 2 Remastered:
I led the development of the Shrek 2 game released in 2004. 22 years later, Microsoft will remaster it. Now that the rights to these franchises belong to huge companies, and new opportunities have appeared at their disposal thanks to artificial intelligence AI, you can expect many more such re-releases. I hope this will benefit the players.
According to Otero, he receives nothing from Shrek 2 Remastered, and Microsoft did not invite him to participate in the development of the remaster. Nevertheless, he is happy to see an updated version of his game.
Joby Otero also shared that he would like to see updated versions of several other projects:
I hope they remaster the game "Kung Fu Panda" (which I also led the development of) and True Crime: Streets of LA—the most ambitious game from Luxoflux.
Shrek 2 Remastered has not been officially announced. The presentation is expected at the upcoming ID@Xbox show, which will be held on October 20th.
