LEGO "Venetian Neighborhood" set to be released in November: a piece of the city on water made of bricks

Construction enthusiasts will have a chance to visit Italy without leaving home, as the LEGO Group will release the "Venetian Neighborhood" set. With it, they can recreate a small part of the "city on water" on their table, and also get 17 minifigures.

LEGO Group announced the "Venetian Neighborhood" set, consisting of 5682 pieces. It has become one of the most elaborate city dioramas in the LEGO Icons collection and the first display model of a city landscape of this scale in LEGO's history.

It allows users to convey the romance, rhythm, and magnificent architecture of Venice using LEGO bricks. This construction set recreates a canal-side neighborhood, embodying the true spirit of the "city on water".

A luxurious villa, a glassblowing workshop, and an astronomical clock tower stretch along the water's edge, while an arched bridge crosses the canal, beneath which a gondola can glide. The diorama can be separated and reconfigured into two distinct sections, and roofs and floors can be removed to explore the detailed interior of each building.

With its layered architecture and striking silhouette, the model will be an ambitious centerpiece for collectors of the LEGO Icons line. The set features interactive play functions that capture the enchanting atmosphere of the city. You can turn a small flower vase on the street piano to play real notes, or rotate a knob on the side of the clock tower to set its astronomical calendar in motion.

The neighborhood also "hosts" 17 minifigures, bringing every corner of this historic panorama to life. Gondoliers, musicians, tourists, and two carnival participants in extravagant costumes and intricate masks create a unique tribute to the traditions and festivities for which this region is famous.
