Sluggerfly studios really enjoyed working on the collaboration.

Headup and Sluggerfly have released a free update for Super Meat Boy 3D, adding Jack Pepper, the protagonist of the noir shooter MOUSE: P.I. for Hire, to the game. In addition to the new character, the patch includes support for DLSS and FSR upscaling technologies, as well as various improvements and bug fixes.

According to Mateusz Michalak, founder and CEO of Fumi Games, the collaboration was a great opportunity to combine two, at first glance, completely different projects. Meat Boy and Jack Pepper turned out to have more in common than it might seem. The developer also expressed hope that players will appreciate the atmosphere of Mouseburg — a fictional city in a black-and-white noir style — within Super Meat Boy 3D.

Dominik Plassmann, founder and art director of Sluggerfly, in turn, noted that working on bringing Jack Pepper into the game was a great pleasure for the team.
