NetEase has tightened penalties for toxic behavior in Marvel Rivals

New measures apply to both text and voice chat.

Marvel Rivals developers have intensified measures to combat toxic player behavior.

According to an official statement, the new measures apply to both text and voice chat. When choosing a penalty, developers will consider the nature of the violation, its severity, and the player's behavioral history.

NetEase specifically emphasized that it does not intend to tolerate insults, bullying, discrimination, and hate speech, even if such behavior has become common in competitive games.

At the same time, the company published official rules for moderating text and voice chat. They describe prohibited types of communication, mechanisms for detecting violations, and possible penalties. The system uses automatic detection of suspicious messages and voice statements, player complaints, and manual review of materials by moderators.

Sanctions depend on the severity and frequency of violations. They may include warnings, blocking of text and voice chat for up to 365 days, temporary restriction of access to matchmaking, and long-term account blocking.
