PS6 will be more powerful than GeForce RTX 6060 and will be released two years earlier - insider

According to rumors, the PS6 will be more powerful than the GeForce RTX 6060 and will be released in 2027, while NVIDIA may release its new graphics card only in 2029.

Insider Kepler_L2 claims that the RTX 6060 will be inferior to Sony's future console in terms of performance. Leaks have already compared the PS6's power to the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and even the RTX 5080.

According to the insider, a shortage of components may force NVIDIA to postpone the release of budget graphics cards. A similar situation was observed with the RTX 50 series: the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 were released in January 2025, while the RTX 5060 appeared a few months later. This time, the gap could be even larger.

However, a direct comparison between a console and a graphics card does not give a complete picture: games for PS6 will be optimized for specific hardware, while the RTX 6060 is designed for various PCs.

However, the high cost of components raises questions about the advisability of a quick transition to a new generation. The PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are still capable of a lot, and new consoles may be too expensive for the mass consumer.
