PS6 for $1000? Poll Shows How Much Players Are Willing to Pay for the Console
64% of players refused to buy a PS6 for $1000, according to a Push Square poll of over 3500 people.
Rumors of the new Sony console's almost thousand-dollar cost have sparked debate about the acceptable price of a gaming device. In terms of Russian rubles, this amounts to over 83,000.
Another 18% of participants said they were willing to pay that amount without hesitation. The same number admitted they would hesitate, but would probably still buy the console.

Player dissatisfaction is due to rising prices for hardware and accessories. Consoles used to get cheaper over time, and used disc games could be bought for next to nothing. Now, device prices sometimes rise, and Sony is gradually moving away from physical media in favor of a digital store.
If the company truly decides not to sell the PS6 at a loss, a high starting price could lead to weak demand. While there will be those willing to buy the console, mass sales will be harder to expect.
