The Blood of Dawnwalker developers repeated Gothic 3's mistake, but problematic mobs will soon be nerfed
The developers realized that the boars would need to be calmed down.
Soon, Rebel Wolves studio and Bandai Namco Entertainment will present a major update for the vampire action-RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker. The developers have already revealed some details, and now they have decided to address a pressing issue — boars. At launch, players faced almost the same problem as fans of the Gothic franchise at the launch of Gothic 3. The local boars turned out to be surprisingly aggressive: some players noted that they liked to interfere in fights with human enemies. They also complained that, it felt like, during their playthroughs, they killed more boars than any other opponents.
The Blood of Dawnwalker developers studied the feedback and decided to make the boars “less aggressive” (they did not specify how much less):
Everyone knows to beware of wolves or bears, but a wild boar is no less dangerous. If angered, it will charge at you, knock you down, and start beating you, even if you are twice its size. Therefore, when an enraged boar charges at you, it's best to stay away from it. P.S. With update 1.1, boars will become less… aggressive.
In addition, the creators of The Blood of Dawnwalker intend to add an additional difficulty level — specialties for story lovers, and will also introduce a number of other improvements and fixes to the game.
