Timothée Chalamet and Hans Zimmer recorded a joint track for "Dune: Part Three" - you can listen to it now

The filmmakers continue to share materials before the release of the final part of the trilogy.

WaterTower Music label released Desert Chant – the first composition from the soundtrack of the film “Dune: Part Three”, recorded by Hans Zimmer together with Timothée Chalamet. The track begins with a quiet chant by the actor playing Paul Atreides, which gradually grows into a battle hymn.

According to Zimmer, working on “Dune” brings him back to his teenage impressions of Frank Herbert's novel, which he shares with director Denis Villeneuve:

“I sincerely believe that Denis and I never stopped dreaming the dreams that the book ignited in us as teenagers. But now, having worked on several films, we have mastered the craft and accumulated the knowledge to bring the images from our imagination into reality.”
Hans Zimmer

The third “Dune” is based on the novel “Dune Messiah” and will conclude Villeneuve's trilogy. The action will unfold 17 years after the previous film, when Paul Atreides, who has become Muad'Dib, will have to face the consequences of the Fremen jihad and a conspiracy being prepared behind his back.

Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, Florence Pugh, Javier Bardem, and Jason Momoa returned to their roles. Anya Taylor-Joy also played an adult Alia Atreides, and Robert Pattinson played Scytale.

The international release of “Dune: Part Three” starts on December 18, 2026.
