Horror Mouthwashing may get a Sony adaptation - the film will be handled by the creators of Until Dawn

The cosmic nightmare that captivated hundreds of thousands of players may reach the big screens.

According to insider Daniel Richtman, Sony is preparing an adaptation of the psychological horror Mouthwashing. The film, Richtman claims, will be produced by Screen Gems, the studio that previously released Until Dawn. Who will write the script and direct is not yet known.

Mouthwashing tells the story of five crew members of the space freighter "Tulpar", transporting a batch of mouthwash. After a crash, the team is cut off from help, food and energy supplies are gradually running out, and relations between the survivors become strained. Captain Curly, who suffered terrible injuries and is now completely dependent on those whom, in the team's opinion, he doomed to a slow death, is blamed for the disaster. The narrative alternates between events before and after the crash, revealing its causes, the heroes' past, and their relationships.
