Chris Pratt confirmed that he will return to the role of Peter Quill, known as Star-Lord. On The Playlist podcast, the actor recalled the promise from the finale of the third “Guardians of the Galaxy” and said that the matter has already moved beyond discussions:
“I have a great relationship with Kevin [Feige] and Louis [D’Esposito]. We constantly discuss how to fulfill that promise, and concrete steps have already been taken to keep it. So yes, you will see Star-Lord again, and that’s very cool. I can’t say when it will happen yet, but he’s not going anywhere.”
Earlier, Pratt also said that he has his own idea for the continuation of Quill’s story, which he has already shared with Kevin Feige:
“I’m ready to do whatever they want from me. But I also have a very clear idea of what he could do. And, in my opinion, it’s a damn cool idea.”
It is not yet known in which project Star-Lord will appear. The next film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be “Avengers: Doctor Doom,” which will be released on December 18, 2026. However, Pratt did not hint at his participation in the film, and insiders have not yet reported his appearance.
