Night Races in Your Pocket - Need for Speed: Underground 2 Ported to Android

Enthusiasts continue to port popular games to mobile devices.

A developer under the nickname codepdbh has released an unofficial port of Need for Speed: Underground 2 for Android, based on the original PC version of the cult racing game.

The mobile version supports gamepads, touch controls with the ability to change the position, size, and design of on-screen buttons, as well as gyroscope control. In addition, you can select the resolution and set a frame rate limit in the settings.

Performance is also quite good. According to the author, on a Galaxy S25 Ultra with Android 17, version 0.14.9 delivered 100 to 120 FPS. However, on some devices, particularly those with Exynos 850 and Dimensity 7020 processors, the game currently crashes, but the developer is not stopping there and continues to work on compatibility and optimization of the port.

To run it, you will need Android 10 or newer, Vulkan 1.1 support, and the files from your own PC copy of Underground 2.
