Bandai Namco has released ONE PIECE: Grand Gourmet on iOS, Android, and PC. The One Piece restaurant simulator was developed by Kairosoft, known for Game Dev Story and other pixel-art business management games.
Players will join the second floating restaurant, Baratie, and work with the Straw Hat crew to develop the establishment. You need to find ingredients, unlock recipes, cook dishes from One Piece, and experiment with unusual food combinations. Over 400 characters from the franchise will visit, whom you can not only serve but also hire. And for furnishing the restaurant, there are over 200 items of furniture and decorations.
On Steam, the game launched with “mixed” reviews. Buyers praise the pixel graphics, variety of dishes, and the number of familiar heroes, but complain about the confusing interface, inconvenient furniture placement, and too quickly disappearing dialogue. The developers have already responded to some of the comments and released update 1.0.7 for Steam. It added the ability to disable automatic scrolling of some texts and corrected the display order of certain graphic elements.
