The Dive Continues: "Made in Abyss" Sequel Announced on New Film's Premiere Day

The story of Riko and her companions will continue on the big screen.

On October 23, the full-length anime film "Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul," continuing the events of the second season, premiered in Japan. On the same day, the creators announced work on the next film, but its title, plot, and release dates have not yet been revealed. Perhaps the creators simply do not want to reveal the ending of "Dawn of the Deep Soul" in advance.

In the new film, Riko, Reg, and Nanachi, along with Faputa, leave the village of hollows and head to the seventh layer of the Abyss, where unknown depths, new encounters, and dangers await them. The announcement of the sequel was also accompanied by a new poster for "Dawn of the Deep Soul," depicting Srajo, one of the white whistle holders, and her research team "Hail Hex."

Director Masayuki Kojima, screenwriter Hideyuki Kurata, and composer Kevin Penkin returned to work, while Yuka Kuroda and Kazuchika Kise prepared the character designs.

The international premiere date for "Dawn of the Deep Soul" has not yet been announced.
