In late September, it was revealed that the third season of “Daredevil: Born Again” would be its last. However, Marvel has not yet announced anything regarding the future fate of the characters, leaving fans to wonder whether the familiar heroes will appear in other projects.
Vincent D’Onofrio, who played Wilson Fisk, sparked fresh discussions. At London Comic Con, the actor was asked how he felt about the show coming to an end, and he replied that the story of their characters would only end once other performers were cast in these roles.
Some media outlets interpreted his words as confirmation that D’Onofrio and his colleagues would return in other Marvel projects. However, the actor took to X to swiftly debunk this interpretation:
“I said no such thing. At London Comic Con, we were asked how we feel about everything coming to an end. I replied: it’s not over until they recast our characters with other actors. And that hasn’t happened yet. So until then, it’s not over — whether we participate in another project or not. That is what was said. Please do not twist my words for views on your platform.”
Thus, D’Onofrio did not announce Kingpin’s return, but merely explained why he does not yet consider the character’s story finished. The third and final season of “Daredevil: Born Again” is expected on Disney+ in 2027.
