Cyberpunk 2 to get co-op mode, CD Projekt RED job opening hints

The first hints of co-op in the sequel surfaced back in September.

CD Projekt RED appears to be considering adding co-op missions and other online features to Cyberpunk 2. This is suggested by a job opening for a Lead Quest Programmer, which mentions networking technologies and the development of quests for cooperative play.

The applicant is required to have:

• an understanding of online multiplayer game architecture
• knowledge of the principles of game state and quest synchronization between client and server
• familiarity with Unreal Engine architecture

In September 2025, CD Projekt RED was looking for a Lead Network Engineer for Cyberpunk 2. The job description had already mentioned developing network architecture, online systems, and multiplayer optimization, including matchmaking.
