The Mass Effect series from Prime Video could get at least two seasons. This is indicated by information from the profile of screenwriter and comic book writer Greg Rucka in the Writers Guild of America (WGA) database.
According to the published data, the creator of “The Old Guard” is involved in the project as a co-executive producer, with two seasons listed in his profile at once. Rucka himself has long been a fan of Mass Effect: back in 2010, he published an extensive rave review of the second installment and admitted that he would love to work on a project in this universe.
Doug Jung (“Mindhunter”, “Star Trek Beyond”) remains the series showrunner, and Daniel Casey (“F9”) is writing the script. Mike Gamble, who led development on the canceled Mass Effect Universe, is also listed among the executive producers.
The premiere date for the series is currently unknown.
