TiMi Studio Group has released Monster Hunter Outlanders, a free-to-play mobile spin-off for iOS and Android.
The game is set in the Ezoland region, where the ecosystem alters familiar monsters, granting them new traits. Players will explore the surroundings, hunt huge beasts alone or together with friends in teams of up to four, gather materials, and craft gear for upcoming expeditions.
Seven familiar weapon types are available at launch: Great Sword, Long Sword, Dual Blades, Hammer, Lance, Heavy Bowgun, and Bow. Over time, the developers promise to expand the arsenal and add new features.
The controls have been adapted for touchscreens, offering both classic and simplified modes. Gamepad support is also available, though for now controllers can only be used for hunting, exploring the world, and completing quests. In the future, the developers promise to extend compatibility to the remaining elements of the game.
