The most unexpected crossover: Hideo Kojima and Billie Eilish took part in a My Chemical Romance short film

In this unusual way, the band celebrated the 20th anniversary of their iconic album The Black Parade.

The band My Chemical Romance has released the animated short film Prelude to the End, timed to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the album The Black Parade. An unexpected cast was brought in to voice the characters: singer Billie Eilish, game designer Hideo Kojima, Phoebe Bridgers, and John C. McGinley, known for “Scrubs”.

According to the plot, a girl named Astrid attends a strange, trash-filled boarding school in New England. When her favorite sketchbook is thrown into a garbage chute, she dives in after it and ends up in a world of forgotten ideas.

The short film was directed and illustrated by Lauren Tsai, who began her creative journey making fan videos set to My Chemical Romance songs.
