According to The Hollywood Reporter, Connor Storrie, who played a young inmate in “Joker: Folie à Deux”, is in talks for the main villain role in “Ghost Rider” starring Ryan Gosling. The outlet did not specify which character the actor was offered.
The new “Ghost Rider” will be helmed by Shawn Levy, director of “Deadpool & Wolverine”. He will team up with Gosling again following “Star Wars: Starfighter”. The screenplay is being written by his longtime collaborator Jonathan Tropper, who worked on “This Is Where I Leave You” and “The Adam Project”.

Plot details are being kept under wraps for now. A production document with a preliminary description recently surfaced online, hinting that Gosling will play Johnny Blaze. However, the text was lifted from the synopsis of a 2022 comic book and may serve as a temporary placeholder.
Filming for “Ghost Rider” will kick off in 2027 in New York, with the premiere slated for July 28, 2028.
