Publishing house “Bombora” has opened pre-orders for the book “Spider-Man. Web of Video Game Universes” (“Una araña en la red del videojuego”) by José Antonio Luna. In various stores, it can currently be purchased at a price ranging from 2319 to 2692 rubles.
Spidey games have their own multiverse. Under the same title, completely different projects were sometimes hidden on PC and consoles, some ports differed significantly from the originals, and certain developer choices became genuine memes over time.
The author of this edition examines more than 30 games about the friendly neighbor: from the very first pixelated adventures to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.
The book makes room for technical curiosities, bold experiments, and attempts by various studios to convey the main pleasure of playing as Peter Parker — the freedom to swing across the city on a web.
The release of the book “Spider-Man. Web of Video Game Universes” in Russia is expected in November 2026.
