Legendary RPG in your pocket: Dragon Age: Origins and State of Decay reach Android

Enthusiasts continue to blur the lines between console and mobile gaming.

A developer going by the handle udarmolota has introduced the first version of XDroid360—an unofficial Android launcher that allows running Dragon Age: Origins and State of Decay from the Xbox 360. Both games support gamepads and on-screen controls, and the virtual button layout can be customized.

On a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, Dragon Age: Origins delivers 50–60 FPS, but only until the smartphone heats up. For longer play sessions, the creator recommends moderating expectations and setting a 30 FPS cap. Performance on devices with Mali graphics has not been tested yet.

To journey to Ferelden or fight for survival in State of Decay, you will need a smartphone running Android 11 or newer, a 64-bit ARM processor with Vulkan support, and your own disc image of the respective Xbox 360 game.

For Dragon Age: Origins, an image with English, Italian, and Spanish or Disc 1 of the Ultimate Edition will work—the launcher cannot install add-ons from Disc 2 yet. For State of Decay, the game requires the Breakdown and Lifeline expansions along with Title Update 6.
