Anomalous Coffee Machine

A game set in a creepy universe where the government hides paranormal creatures and anomalous objects from society. The focus is on SCP-294 — a coffee machine capable of dispensing almost any drink. You can get heaven, hell, communism, bodily fluids in liquid form, or test your knowledge of the Greek, Egyptian, and Norse pantheons — and literally drink gods. You can try various diseases or minerals — the result can be surprising.

At the beginning, the hero meets a girl named Horu, and she agrees to drink whatever the coffee machine dispenses. The consumed liquid changes the girl's body in the most unnatural way. The result varies from an increase in breast size to the girl turning into a terrifying creature that violates all laws of physics by its very existence. Through trial and error, hundreds of bizarre forms can be discovered.

Many transformations lead to the death of the main character or her experimental companion. It's nice that the game doesn't take itself too seriously and doesn't scold the player for what's happening. At any moment, you can give the girl a cup of humanity, and she will return to a "normal" state. Horu shrugs off her own death like an annoying insect.

In Anomalous Coffee Machine 2, the rules don't change, but now two people taste the liquids from the machine. Both Horu and her partner can empty the cup, and the consequences are not always the same. Horu and her partner are similar in their madness — they describe the changes occurring in their bodies in a detached and detailed manner.

If your nerves are strong, you can order a cup of "lust." You have to be brave to try the drink on Horu and see her grotesque forms. In Anomalous Coffee Machine 2, lustful experiments are hidden behind a paid patch — you won't accidentally traumatize your psyche.

Parasitic Evil

The game has a classic horror scenario. The main character finds himself in a gloomy, dark hospital filled to the brim with mutated monsters. The guy has immunity, so an infected girl was placed with him to finish him off. The hero manages to suppress the virus in his neighbor's body, and now the pair must reach the exit.

During the playthrough, you'll often have to go up and down between hospital floors. According to the plot, you need to power the elevator, repair generators, drain water in the fountain, find and destroy growths. Life will become easier if you hack locks, search for codes, open shortcuts — this way you can get additional resources.

Various monsters roam the hospital floors. If they notice the heroes, they will pursue them between rooms and even floors. Their approach is easy to predict thanks to sounds and the companion's comments. You need to run away from the creatures carefully so as not to fall into a trap. Monsters can also be shot, but there are few bullets, and enemies revive after death.

The tension is amplified by the dying flashlight and the virus in the girl's body. You constantly need to look for safe rooms where you can "administer medicine." Weakening the virus is rewarded with upgrade points that can be spent on improving characteristics.

Witch Halloween

"Witch Halloween" is the first game in the series about a red-haired girl named Chelsea. In the first part, Chelsea must spend the night in a cursed house to receive an inheritance. Numerous ghosts and a creepy Inquisitor, who relentlessly hunts strangers, complicate the task.

Within the allotted time, you need to solve simple puzzles. It's enough to find scattered items in locations and apply them to ghosts to banish them from the world of the living. Or you can tame them, which is much easier.

With its clumsiness, "Witch Halloween" resembles old Flash games. The animations are crude, Chelsea walks at the speed of a tied sloth, and it's very easy to encounter bugs. At the same time, the game is good at scaring, which is key for horror. Periodically, some entity casts a spell, after which the ghosts become aggressive, and the Inquisitor reappears. At such moments, you want to hide and not come out until the danger passes. Fortunately, the game mechanics allow you to do just that.

Boo Party

On one special night, the paranormal world draws closer to the real one. Skeletons, ghosts, vampires, mermaids, werewolves, and mummies use this event to have fun in the world of the living. This time, the evil spirits chose an abandoned house where they threw a grand party.

A mad scientist discovered paranormal activity and sent a young man to photograph the monsters. But they won't pose until the hero fulfills their whims. You'll have to scour the house to find the necessary products, statues, and energy drinks. In the settings, you can choose what kind of photos the hero will be rewarded with for his efforts — ordinary or explicit.

The game has a unique and memorable visual style. During the playthrough, you can stumble upon many funny moments and references. You even want to call Boo Party a gem among indie games. But constant crashes and unfair mini-games spoil everything. Because of them, Boo Party has to be called just a good game.

Smilers Den Deluxxx

An unusual hybrid of Backrooms and Five Nights at Freddy's. The main character is sent to work in the liminal space of the Backrooms. The bosses force the poor guy to monitor his surroundings and complete tasks. It won't be boring at the computer, because a hunt has already been declared for the hero.

Unlike Five Nights at Freddy's, in Smilers Den Deluxxx, the night ends not after a certain time, but after completing tasks. You need to record anomalies on cameras and launch automatic tasks. You'll have to play mini-games that require attentiveness and honed reactions. There are two unique mini-games — completing them reduces difficulty and gives the hero a second chance.

An entity nicknamed Karelia roams the Backrooms. You won't have to travel from Korea to Karelia, as the song goes — Karelia will find the hero herself. The sarcastic monster loves to pose for the camera and hack the computer. If she gets close, only a timely closed door will save the hero.

Exit Lust

A parody of the popular indie game Exit 8. In it, the main character finds himself in a looped underground passage. You need to find all the anomalies to move forward. If you don't find an anomaly, you'll have to look for the exit again.

You won't have to look for anomalies in the environment — only women of the same type stand out in the passage. The detected anomaly needs to be neutralized, which is accompanied by animations created with AI. If you make a mistake, no new anomalies will appear in the next run — there is no randomness in the game.

The game is suitable for those who don't need complex gameplay in horror games with a kick. In Exit Lust, all anomalies are painfully obvious — only a sign saying "Anomaly here" is missing. If you look around and take breaks, you can escape the subway in an hour at most.
