Diablo 3 to get performance improvements for Xbox Series X

Blizzard has announced that it will soon release an update to fix Diablo 3 performance on Xbox Series X.

The game did not receive a native version for the new consoles, but runs via backward compatibility. Only on Microsoft’s more powerful platform, the image is displayed at a maximum resolution of 1080p.

The source of the problem — Xbox Series X runs the Xbox One S version of the game instead of the Xbox One X version, as is the case with other games.

Now a Blizzard community representative has announced on the Battle.net forums that the issue will be resolved in an update that will kick off the next season of Diablo 3. On Xbox Series X, the game will also run in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

The release date of the update is unknown. It is worth noting that no such issue occurs on PS5.
