Naoki Yoshida, producer of Final Fantasy 14 and 16, confirmed that "very constructive" negotiations are underway with Nintendo regarding the conversion of two games in the Final Fantasy series.
Yoshida emphasized that the goal is to give as many players as possible access to Final Fantasy 14 and 16. Intense discussions with Nintendo and Square Enix should lead to the release of two hits on Switch 2. The producer asks for patience but assures that the chances are high.
The MMO version of Final Fantasy 14 on Switch 2 will be a chance for both new players and veterans. Yoshida explains that current players will be able to continue the story and raids on PC, and on Switch 2 they can farm and craft, opening up new game possibilities.
For young fans who are not yet familiar with Final Fantasy 14, the release on Switch 2 will be a great start in the MMO. Yoshida hopes that the new console will attract even more players to the world of Final Fantasy.
