Over the past day, more than 50,000 users were simultaneously on Battlefield 2042 servers on Steam. The shooter hasn't seen such activity in a long time - the growth was ensured by a major update and free skins.
The update was released on August 18, 2025, and it was on this day that a sharp surge in interest was observed. Usually the record audience was around 10 thousand, and over the past three days the number of players has increased more than five times.
For many fans, these are probably the last hours with Battlefield 204
before moving on to the sixth part. A special "Road to Battlefield 6" pass has been created for them, allowing them to receive six unique items for the new game. Rewards will be unlocked on the day of the premiere, but you can only earn them until October 7, 2025.
An additional incentive to try Battlefield 2042 was a 95% discount. Many players took advantage of this to remember pleasant moments, while some, on the contrary, criticized the game more after testing the Battlefield 6 beta.
The official release of Battlefield 6 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S will take place on October 10, 2025.
