Developers from MagicX will not leave fans of portable consoles without all sorts of new products. In 2025, they will introduce people to One35 and Retro45, and in 2026 people will be able to get five new devices, one of which visually resembles the Nintendo 2DS.
MagicX shared its plans for the near future with retro gamers today.
In 2025, the team is going to give the world two more portables. To be precise, in September, players will see the MagicX One35 device with a MediaTek Helio G85 chip, which has a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics processor, and in December - the MagicX Retro45 with an A733 chip (most likely, we are talking about Allwinner A733).
Then in 2026, the developers will release five more portable consoles – MagicX Retro DS, MagicX Two45, MagicX Two48, MagicX Whirl V45 and MagicX Whirl V48. The Retro DS, which strongly resembles the Nintendo 2DS, will have a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip, a Mali-G68 MC4 graphics processor and two screens: the upper one is 4.1 inches with a resolution of 1280x720, the lower one is 3.4 inches with a resolution of 960x720.
The Two45 will receive a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 chip, a Mali-G610 MC4 graphics processor and a 4.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1080x1260. The Two48 will have the same chip, but a 4.8-inch screen with a resolution of 1440x1080.
The Whirl V45 will have a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip, and the Whirl V48 will have a MediaTek Dimensity 7350 chip. Judging by the list of new devices, MagicX decided to occupy its own corner of niche portables and not compete with Retroid, Ayaneo and Anbernic.
