Motorsport fans can rejoice. iRacing and IndyCar have officially announced that a new game in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES will be released in 2026.
The project will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam in the second half of 2026. Development is being handled by a specially created team within iRacing Studios on its own Orontes game engine.
According to iRacing President Tony Gardner, the project will offer the entire NTT INDYCAR SERIES ecosystem and an immersive experience for players of all ages. The company emphasizes that the game uses technologies, car models, and accurate tracks from other studio projects, which guarantees maximum realism and the highest quality racing.
Importantly, real IndyCar teams and drivers, including Scott McLaughlin, are actively involved in the development and are showing great enthusiasm. This is the first standalone IndyCar game since the release of IndyCar Series by Codemasters in 2005.
