The announcement of Turok: Origins with a third-person view caused discontent among fans of the series, who are accustomed to the first-person view. But, as it turned out at Gamescom 2025, the developers listened to the criticism.
Gamespot editor Alan Wen, after trying out the game at the exhibition, received confirmation from Saber Interactive: Turok: Origins will have the option to switch to the classic first-person camera. This is a key change that returns the franchise to its origins.
It also became known that, despite the emphasis on a cooperative PvE mode for three players, the game can be played solo without bot support. They promise that the project will have a huge and powerful arsenal, traditional for the series.
Recently, a video with impressions and gameplay appeared on the intheGame.nl YouTube channel, which confirms this information and demonstrates battles. The release of Turok: Origins is scheduled for PC and next-generation consoles.
