New indie hit on Steam. 400,000 copies sold of Super Battle Golf speak for themselves

In the world of indie games, projects sometimes appear that surprise with the scale of their success. A small budget, a short development cycle, and modest advertising do not always mean a niche result - sometimes the effect is completely the opposite.

When the mechanics are catchy and the community picks up the theme, sales grow at such a speed that large studios envy.

A prime example is Super Battle Golf. Earlier this week, it was reported that the game had surpassed 100,000 copies sold just days after release, which was impressive given the four and a half months of development. Now the creators have confirmed in a Steam blog that the result has grown to 400,000 copies. A fourfold increase in a short time, and revenues are already likely in the millions of dollars.

But that's not all. Along with the sales report, future console versions, Steam Workshop support for modders, new cosmetic add-ons, achievements, and gameplay improvements have been announced. Everything indicates that the modest project has a long and promising road ahead.
