According to Hello Games founder Sean Murray, almost every aspect of the game had to be reworked for this update.
Hello Games has released the Voyagers update (version 6.0) for No Man’s Sky. The main innovation is the "Corvette" class ships, fully customizable spacecraft with functional interiors, allowing players to create and manage their own mobile bases in the galaxy.
"Corvettes" have full interiors with customizable rooms, such as medical bays, sleeping cabins, command centers, mission radars, and teleporters. Players can walk inside the ship during flight, invite friends as crew, and even go into open space in zero gravity to explore or capture neighboring ships. According to Hello Games founder Sean Murray, almost every aspect of the game had to be reworked for this update to implement dynamic spaces, making it one of the largest in No Man’s Sky history.
"Corvettes" become available after completing part of the storyline, and their creation and customization take place in a special hangar, where players can design both the appearance and the internal structure of the starship.
