Rumors previously circulated online about possible support for 40 or even 60 frames per second, based on the impressions of NintendoLife journalist Felix Sanchez, who tested the game at Gamescom. He noted that the game "feels like 60fps" due to the smoothness and quality of the image. However, Felix later clarified in the comments to his video that he was mistaken, and the game does indeed run at 30 frames per second, which Square Enix confirmed. He added that the game still feels incredibly smooth and leaves an excellent impression on Switch 2.
