Journalists who have played the port praise the optimization and visuals.
Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, which will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 this winter, will run at 30 frames per second, ensuring smooth performance and crisp graphics. This was reported in an official tweet from the company.
Previously, there were rumors of possible support for 40 or even 60 frames per second, based on the impressions of NintendoLife journalist Felix Sanchez, who tested the game at Gamescom. He noted that the game "feels like 60fps" due to the smoothness and quality of the picture. However, Felix later clarified in the comments to his video that he was mistaken, and the game actually runs at 30 frames per second, which was confirmed by Square Enix. He added that the game still feels incredibly smooth and leaves an excellent impression on Switch 2.
