The mechanics of building giant spaceships from the Voyager update will migrate to Light No Fire. In the project, it will become the basis for creating sea vessels needed for long voyages.
"Many of the technologies we use in Voyager will also appear in Light No Fire, it's a true open world on an Earth-sized planet," said Sean Murray in an interview."There are oceans, and you'll need ships with crews to cross them," he added.
The developers note that the developments from Light No Fire also helped in creating updates for No Man's Sky. The studio continues to develop its own engine.
Light No Fire was announced at the end of 2023. The game does not yet have a release date. The authors stated that its basis will be adventure, construction, survival elements, and joint exploration of the world.
No Man's Sky now boasts a dedicated audience, and Hello Games regularly releases large-scale free add-ons, emphasizing that the game is far from complete.
