Azahar becomes the first 3DS emulator for Android with second screen support, allowing to recreate the familiar gaming experience on a portable system.
The Azahar emulator, which has taken the place of the main solution for running Nintendo 3DS games on Android after the closure of Citra, has exited beta with update 2123. The release brought a number of long-awaited features and optimizations.
The key innovation is full support for two screens: now the second display can be output to an external monitor or TV via Chromecast and Miracast. A mode has also been added that allows you to use your smartphone as a gamepad with a gyroscope and an additional screen.
The developers have improved performance: artifacts have been eliminated when using Vulkan rendering, multi-touch recognition has been improved, which has made control smoother. Support for new ROM formats has appeared, allowing you to significantly reduce the size of game files. At the same time, standard .3ds format files still require conversion via a separate tool on a PC.
The Azahar emulator is available on Google Play and on the official project website, where versions for Windows, Linux and MacOS are also distributed.
