HBO continues to reveal the cast of the \"Harry Potter\" series. This time, the list includes one of the participants of the original film franchise.
HBO has officially confirmed Warwick Davis' participation in the upcoming \"Harry Potter\" television series. The actor will once again play Professor Filius Flitwick — the Charms professor at Hogwarts. This is the first time that one of the actors from the original film saga returns to their role in the new project.
Davis played Flitwick in all eight films released from 2001 to 2011. In addition to \"Harry Potter,\" he is known for a number of projects in the \"Star Wars\" universe, as well as the fantasy saga \"Willow,\" where he played the main role.
In addition, HBO announced the addition of seven more performers to the cast. Elijah Oshin will play Dean Thomas, Finn Stevens will play Vincent Crabbe, and William Nash will play Gregory Goyle. Cirine Saba will play Professor Sprout, and Richard Durden will embody the ghost of Professor Cuthbert Binns, who was absent in the films. Also, Bríd Brennan will play Madam Pomfrey, and Lee Gill will play the Gringotts goblin Griphook.
Filming of the series is already underway. The project is conceived as a multi-season saga for a decade, and the premiere of the first season is scheduled for 2027.
