The card project based on "The Wheel of Time," which has been in development for a long time, has finally taken its final form and name — Battle for Randland. Witsteen has officially announced the game as the only licensed TCG based on Robert Jordan's works and has already opened applications for participation in beta testing.

Initially, the game was created by Aether Games under the name Cards of Eternity and used blockchain technologies with NFT elements, which caused criticism among players. After the rights were transferred to Witsteen BV, the project was completely relaunched and got rid of NFT monetization.

In Battle for Randland, players will be able to choose factions familiar from the books and collect decks from leaders, companions, spells, and artifacts taken directly from the lore of "The Wheel of Time." The authors promise a deep strategic system and visually rich presentation — with three-dimensional arenas, animation, and effects.

In addition to standard duels and ranked matches, the game will feature a PvE mode, as well as a 2v2 cooperative format. Crossplay is supported between PC and mobile platforms (iOS and Android). The game will receive a Russian localization.

The project is already presented on Steam and Epic Games Store. Also, registration for the beta test is open on the official website. The full release is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025, the exact date has not yet been announced.
