The Skyblivion team has released a video showcasing the first 15 minutes of the game, including the tutorial segment in the dungeons, key improvements, and visual design.
The video shows updated bright menus for class and birthsign selection, completely reworked gear, and loading screens with "interactive multilayered art."
The developers emphasize that the lockpicking mini-game interface combines the styles of Elder Scrolls Online and Oblivion, working perfectly with both keyboard and mouse, as well as with a controller. "We have reworked every piece of armor, weapon, clothing, and other elements of the game," the authors stated.
The birthsign and class selection menu demonstrates the possibilities of a radical interface redesign. Despite the changes, the basic interface — inventory, maps, spells — remains in the list format familiar to Skyrim.
The project started ten years ago with the aim of completely recreating Oblivion on the Skyrim engine, adding new dungeons, landscape, biomes, weapons and armor, and improving mechanics and visual elements. A specific release date for Skyblivion has not yet been announced, but the team hopes to release the mod in 2025.
